Sr. Joan Chittister Book Study Program 7 - 9 PM
Tuesday, February 24, 2015, 07:00pm - 08:30pm

The Spirit of Life Community invites you to a Lenten book study program on The Way of the Cross: The Path to New Life by Joan Chittister 7-8:30PM on Tuesdays February 24 and March 3,10,17 and 24.

Joan Chittister described her vision of her latest book “ The Way of the Cross: The Path to New Life,”  as "the journey through life with Jesus as a model of the light we need in darkness."

Joan uses the stations of the cross, the oldest devotion in Christianity, as her structure, and the paintings of Janet McKenzie which are illustrated in the book as her inspiration.

Acknowledging the universal awareness of the presence of pain in life, Joan writes that "life is what you make happen because of what happened to you."

Each panel and every meditation offers profound insights into the mysteries of human suffering, our relationship with divine grace, and our opportunities for renewal along life's journey.

We invite you to come and nourish your soul through meditating on The Way of the Cross in relationship to our own lives.  The book discussion will be facilitated by Spirit of Life Intern Sharon Dickinson, and books ($20) will be available at The Spirit of Life.  To register for the discussion group and to reserve a book, contact Sharon Dickinson at This email address is being protected from spambots.
