In the spirit of our philosophy of co-creating community and our awareness that the Spirit speaks through each of us, we invite you to share your meditations with us as well. We truly believe that in God’s economy of abundance, when we share our blessings, our thoughts, our feelings, we are all made richer.
Today's Meditation is a video of the work of Dr. Masuru Emoto's experiments of the effects of loving words on water.
He exposes water to words and then freezes the water and photographs the crystallization of the water. His point in doing this is that our bodies are 70% water and our earth is 70% water. He contends that we have the power to heal our bodies and to heal our earth if we speak words of loving kindness to them. He shows pictures of polluted water crystals and then pictures of the same water after words of blessing are said over the water--the difference is astounding. He shows that printed words of loving kindness taped to a glass bottle of water overnight transforms the water in the same way. He says that it is the intention and the words (spoken or written) that transform the water. This work has profound implications for praying for others at a distance, Reiki and our sending healing energy to our co-journeyers on the planet and to the earth itself. We invite you to join us as we commit ourselves to working tirelessly to end systemic and structural racism in our society, in healthcare, in the workplace, in the Church--wherever it shows up so that everyone may come to have more abundant life. May this meditation nourish our contemplative-active hearts and sustain all of us in action.
