Dear Friends,
We pray you are safe and well.
In the spirit of our philosophy of co-creating community and our awareness that the Spirit speaks through each of us, we invite you to share your meditations with us as well. We truly believe that in God’s economy of abundance, when we share our blessings, our thoughts, our feelings, we are all made richer.

May this meditation nourish our contemplative-active hearts and sustain all of us in action.

Meditation 125: Mother Wisdom Speaks (Christine Lore Webber)
Some of you I will hollow out.
I will make you a cave.
I will carve you so deep the stars will shine in your darkness.
You will be a bowl.
You will be the cup in the rock collecting rain.
I will hollow you with knives.
I will not do this to make you clean.
I will not do this to make you pure
You are clean already.
You are pure already.
I will do this because the world needs the hollowness of you.
I will do this for the space that you will be.
I will do this because you must be large.
A passage.
People will find their way through you.
A bowl.
People will eat from you.
And their hunger will not weaken them to death.
A cup to catch the sacred rain.
My daughter, do not cry.
Do not be afraid.
Nothing you need will be lost.
I am shaping you.
I am making you ready.
Light will flow in your hollowing.
You will be filled with light.
Your bones will shine.
The round open center of you will be radiant.
I will call you brilliant one.
I will call you daughter who is wide.

UPCOMING EVENTS
This week The Democratic National Convention is taking place. Next week The Republican National Convention will take place.
The Ignatian Associates Ramos Community in Milwaukee, Wisconsin decided to hold a non-partisan, virtual prayer for peace event during both the Democratic and Republican conventions. The event, called Peaceful Presence will be held virtually from August 17 – 27 during the Democratic and Republican conventions.
Each day of the conventions, the program will include a prayer, quiet music for meditation, and a 10 minute reflection on peace given by a local religious leader from many religious traditions. The reflection will focus on Peace and prayer for our world leaders, especially the leaders of our country.
I believe one can click on the link below anytime during the day and there will be a 15 minute prayer time with a meditative talk by speakers from all religions. Please take time each day to add your energy to the universe for peace during these times.
